Jesse Tyler Ferguson Gets Cancer Removed From His Cheek

We all know how impeccable Mitchell Pritchett’s sense of humor is. The better part is the fact that Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the man who enlivens up Mitchell is no less than his reel life part. In fact, he takes it a level higher. Jesse Tyler Ferguson is so good with humor that he can make cancer or the probability of it sound funny. That is no mean feat, especially when the threat of the disease belongs to your own self. Jesse Tyler Ferguson just let his sense of laughter win over cancer. On Tuesday, the actor took to Instagram to announce that doctors had found skin cancer on his face.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson got his cancer removed after an operation and broke the news via Instagram.

The Early Onset of Skin Cancer

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is 40 years old and announced on social media in the least serious tone possible that he had undergone a treatment in order to get cancer removed from his cheek. He posted a picture of himself displaying the right side of his face bandaged up. He did not give the details about the type of cancer he has but managed to keep the post light. “Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face”, wrote Ferguson. Jesse, who plays the adorable Mitchell Pritchett on the show, is highly prone to risk of cancer due to his skin color. But his post mentioned nothing serious. With hashtags from Britney Spears’ songs and wishing luck to the makeup team of Modern Family, he kept the announcement light. “Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face. Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow @modernfamily_makeuphair!”, the comedic actor captioned the photograph.

Jesse Seems Completely Fine After the Treatment

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is fair skinned red head. This makes him more susceptible to the harmful effects of the sun. This is what led to skin cancer and its early onset. It is in these regards that he added a series of hashtags that were a reference to Britney Spears’ song. He was talking about the need for him to wear lots of sunblock. “#youwannaapieceofme #phantommask #spf75”, Jesse added to his caption”. But this does not stop Jesse to be back on the set the very next day. Though he had undergone the procedure, he was back on the set along with his recently married co-star Sofia Vergara. He attended Sofia’s wedding to Joe Manganiello at the end of last month. He was present at the wedding with his lawyer husband, Justin Mikita.

The real life couple is not new to cancer and the pair has been fighting a battle since quite long. Justin Mikita, who is 29-year-old, is a cancer survivor himself. At a very young age, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and he still has to undergo through yearly checkups to ensure that he is cancer free. He was only 13 when he was first diagnosed. The couple has previously helped in raising awareness for cancer diagnosis and treatment. They have attended charity events to show their concern and support. They both were a part of Stand Up to Cancer event. Jesse Tyler Ferguson seems all fine right now as he was back on the set and posted a picture with co-star and on-screen husband Eric Stonestreet and on-screen daughter Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.
