New wine app that takes care of your taste buds

Deciding which wine to have is a question that is as difficult as high school mathematics. And there is no exaggeration in this statement. So, wouldn’t it be a blessing and respite if the entire wine industry was encapsulated on your smartphone? Well, thank Antonio Galloni, because the man has made this dream a reality. He has brought the entire wine industry out of its dusty cellar, and all the information you need is available on your smartphone. Choosing your wine has never been easier, now with a wine app.

After years of experience, Antonio Galliano has decided to launch a wine app through Vinous, his online wine magazine

Antonio Galloni’s self crafted application

Antonio Galloni is a world-renowned wine critic. He is respectable and valued, and people trust his opinions and reviews. He is a protégé of the stodgy taster, Robert Parker. Robert was known for being a notorious man who was difficult to convince. Antonio is no different. After years of experience, he has decided to launch an app through Vinous. Vinous is Antonio’s online magazine and is quite prominent in the wine industry. This idea of a wine app will make it easier to learn the ropes and choose better wine.

His wine app is not the first to strike the industry. There are other wine apps available that are already quite famous among connoisseurs and wine enthusiasts. There are apps like Delectable and Vivino that enable the users to snap a picture of the label so that they can get information about the prices and the ratings. These help to decide what wine will be friendly with your taste and your pocket. Another app called Wine Searcher has a vast database. The huge database empowers users to hunt for bargains.

These apps have been useful to some extent, but none of these apps perform functions that Galloni’s app will do. Also, Galloni’s app will be the only place that will offer right at your fingertips a bunch of professional wine reviews. And the most stunning part is all these reviews will be penned by Galloni himself.

The wine app is user friendly and inclusively comprehensive

“We’re in the very enviable position of selling information — we’re not trying to sell anybody any wine,” told Galloni. Also, Galloni’s application will not promote exclusively, nor will it rely on sales commissions. Other wine sites and applications tend to depend on sales commission and crowdsourcing reviews. Their reviews are driven by money rather than honest opinion. “They are beholden to an industry that has long been riddled with conflicts. Maybe the sales rep says, ‘Sell 10 cases of this and I’ll give you six bottles of that — you’ll be the only person on your block that has the good stuff. That’s how the wine business works,” said Antonio Galloni.

Galloni wants the app to be extremely user friendly. “I don’t want to go to a restaurant and have somebody talking about tannins and not know what the hell that means,” explains Galloni. The app will have two versions. The free version will have everything excluding the reviews, whereas the one inclusive of reviews will be charged as low as $5 a month.
