As Will Ferrell returns, Chris Hemsworth terrorizes Saturday Night Live cast

Chris Hemsworth went the Saturday Night Live stage the second time. The actor showed it to the viewers that he knows how to woo the audience and nothing falls in his way to own the ‘Saturday Night Live’ stage. The last time he took the stage on fire was on March 8. His appearance on November 12 was nevertheless awesome as he terrorized the cast backstage. From mocking Pete Davidson to hanging up on Kate McKinnon’s phone call with Hillary Clinton he left the audience in splits with his act. He even poured a pitcher of water over Vanessa Bayer. Hemsworth was very much in his skin as he went on to display his range of talent throughout the night. He took to playing all kinds of roles, from serious to comedic to theatrical.

Acts, Drams and Theatre enthrall Saturday Night Live cast

He managed to squeeze in a lot of acts and skits. He, along with Sasheer Zamata went on to perform an action-packed short film where things got bloody. Then later on, Chris reprised his role as the goofy but more attractive identical twin Matty to Taran Killiam’s Marky in “Brother 2 Brother”. Chris was at his theatrical best at the show. He followed this by an odd Broadway-themed Christmas Party where he sang. Later, he wore his dancing shoes and performed a sensuous dance number for a choreographed performance at a strip club.

The Thor star had a pretty action packed night as he had interesting acts lined up. With roleplays and acts that let him be anything he wants, Chris was too much in the character. He donned a dress and a wig so that he could gossip with four girlfriends about the hottest stars in Hollywood. He seemed worried about insecurities posed by stars like Chris Pratt and Robert Pattinson. He even called out on brother, Liam Hemsworth for stealing his hunk thunder. He kept the audience entertained and laughing their guts out as long as he was on the stage. But when Politics and Star Wars took over, Hemsworth took a backseat.

Bush and Trump, the ultimate union on-stage

And then there was a very interesting announcement, “President George W. Bush would be running for President again!” Now before you recover from the shock, especially after mind numbing views of Mr. Donald Trump, it was Will Ferrell who was acting as Bush. As Bush, he expressed his discontentment over how petty the current batch of Republican candidates is.  While he dismissed Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, it was for Donald Trump that churned the laughter out of him.

He took to describing Trump’s plan to ban Muslims as very “un-American”. “Not only was it very “un-American,” it was also exactly the same kind of bad thinking that led this nation to put leprechauns in internment camps in the ’20s – and “leprechaun relations have never recovered since, that’s why they are so hard to find”, said Ferrell. Between the acts, musical guest, Chance the Rapper performed “Somewhere in Paradise” and “Sunday Candy”.
