After weeks of numerous rumors and speculations, HTC and Samsung have finally removed all doubt with the official announcement of new phones which are exclusive to the Chinese market.
HTC launched the HTC One X9, while Samsung opted in for another “9” addition with its Samsung Galaxy A9. Both phones are unique and high-tech smartphones that will first launch in China, and we cannot ascertain the possibility of getting these outside Asia.
The HTC One X9 is a 5.5-inch sized phone with a 1920 x 1080 pixel display. It comes with a MediaTek x10 octa-core processor and also features 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, and a battery of 3,000 mAh. The HTC One X9comes with a 13MP rear camera, which is okay for pictures, and an UltraPixel front camera. Memory can be expanded thanks to the microSD slot that features up to 2TB of removable storage. The HTC One X9 is also a dual SIM device. The speakers of the HTC One X9 are situated at the front of the device and feature a “BoomSound” stereo system. The HTC One X9 goes for a price of about $370 or 2,399 Yuan.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is quite similar to the HTC One X9, the phone was said to have leaked earlier this month, but Samsung has now made it official. The Samsung Galaxy A9 is regarded as one of the strongest and most powerful phones among the Galaxy A family for 2015. The phone features a 6-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel display and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor (which was previously referred to as Snapdragon 620).It also makes use of a 4,000 mAh battery. Some of the other features are quite similar to the HTC One X9, like the 13MP rear camera. However, the Galaxy A9 makes use of a 8MP front camera, has 3GB of RAM and other exciting features like a fingerprint scanner and mobile payments support. The MicroSD carries up to 128GB of removable storage. The price for the Samsung Galaxy A9 is yet to be announced.
The Samsung A9 is a remarkable phone, and Samsung did a great job at upholding the quality in relation to their other releases and comes with great additional features like the fingerprint scanner, which is not found in the newly released HTC One X9. The HTC One X9 is an all metal phone like every other HTC phone, and when looked at from behind has a striking look quite similar to that of the iPhone. The frontal appearance of the HTC One X9 has a resemblance to that of a Samsung phone due to the implementation of a glass face, which is common with most Samsung phones. HTC ventured ahead to use capacitive buttons on the HTC One X9, which leaves a lot of room for the BoomSound speakers.
Both the HTC One X9 and Samsung Galaxy A9 are likely to remain exclusives to the Chinese market, as both companies haven’t given any indication otherwise.
