Bad blood between celebrities is common, but it gets even more juicy when it’s between two exes. The drama between Ciara and rapper Future has been going on for almost a year and a half. Just a few months after they had their son, Future Zahir, they broke up. And after that, they began a gruesome custody battle for their son. Added into the mix last year was Russel Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl quarterback, who is now engaged to Ciara, which draws him into Future’s crosshairs.
Future thinks Ciara is keeping him away from his son
Since the custody battle started, their son has mostly been with Ciara, as ordered by the judge. In a strings of tweets that Future put out yesterday, he said a lot of “not so good” things about Ciara.
“I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture…the f**kery for 15k a month,” Future tweeted. “I jus want babyfuture that’s all. This bitch got control problems…” “I been silent for a year & a half. I ran outta patience,” he added.
But he didn’t just end there. Being the famous rapper he is, he ended his rant by teasing new music. “Get ready for this classic,” he said in his last tweet.
Ciara and Future’s relationship has unfolded right in the public eye, which is definitely not uncommon for celebrities. It has been a rather nasty, cold fight between the two, which looks even worse than Taylor Swift’s grudge for Harry Styles. But the disrespect in Future’s tweets on Monday was pretty evident. Just because a couple is fighting for their son’s custody, it doesn’t have to involve a famous man publicly calling the also-famous mother of his child a “bitch.”
A few months ago, when pictures of Ciara and Russel Wilson enjoying a vacation with little Future Zahir hit the internet, Future made sure that his disagreement was known to everyone. The rapper appeared on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” and offered his thoughts on Ciara’s romance with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Wilson. “At the end of the day, I’m not for the publicity stunt,” Future said. “Leave my son out of all the publicity s–t. Just leave him out of your relationship, because we don’t need your relationship for anything. You don’t bring a man around your son,” Future said.
“Never make a permanent decision over a temporary circumstance,” he tweeted when Ciara’s engagement was announced.
Ciara has tried to hold her head high
In an interview with CBS a few months back, Ciara said, “It’s been interesting to hear about what a lot of guys have had to say. I feel like in a sense it’s a bit of a double standard. At one point in time when we were together, I took care of his own kids as well at a very young time in our relationship. But I really was involved very early in the stage of us getting to know each other, and that’s been a big conversation. It’s kind of like, what’s the difference here?”
Ciara’s people have also issued a statement regarding Future’s twitter rant, saying she never received $15,000 in child support from him, and neither did she stop him from seeing his son. The truth is obviously somewhere far away from both of their stories.
