As many of you know already, Meizu has just introduced their new flagship phablet, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus. This handset is fueled by Samsung’s Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core SoC, and is a true successor to the Meizu PRO 5 phablet that was introduced back in September 2015. Now, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus is not the only smartphone Meizu had introduced today, the company has also announced the device that has been leaking like crazy over the last couple of weeks, the Meizu M3X. Rumors and leaks were more or less on point when it comes to the Meizu M3X, so, let’s see what it has to offer, shall we.

The Meizu M3X is made out of metal and glass, and it is the first such smartphone released by this company. The blue (aka Phantom Blue) variant of the device actually reminds us a lot of the Huawei Honor 8, mainly due to the light reflection on the back of the device, which is actually a good thing. The Meizu M3X sports the multifunctional home button below the display, just like every other Meizu-branded smartphone released this year. That home button also doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and you’ll notice the company’s branding on the back of the Meizu M3X. The Meizu M3X is actually quite a capable smartphone, the device features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) LCD display, along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor, and it packs in a 3,060mAh battery. Speaking of which you do get fast charging here, and you’ll charge this device through the Type-C USB port which is placed on the bottom of this phone.

The 12-megapixel shooter (Sony’s IMX386 sensor, 6P lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) is located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture) is available on the phone’s front side. The device offers 4G LTE with VoLTE, and you also get two SIM card slots here. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Meizu M3X, and on top of it, you’ll get Meizu’s Flyme OS. The Meizu M3X comes in Phantom Blue, Pearl White, Obsidian Black and Gold color variants. The 3GB RAM variant of the phone is priced at 1,699 Yuan ($247), while the 4GB RAM model comes in at 1,999 Yuan ($290). The phone will go on sale on December 8th, but you can order one starting today in China. Chances are that this phone will not be available in an international variant, but we’ll see.
