Jessica Simpson's Ex wants her to enroll into a rehab facility.

Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband – Eric Johnson – has given her an ultimatum that may finally force the multi-millionaire icon into rehab to get over her substance abuse issues. As many people know, Simpson appeared to be ‘drunk’ during her HSN (Home Shopping Network) appearance on September 17th to promote her clothes and accessories.

The singer/actress was seen swaying and slurring on screen as co host Collen Lopez did a wonderful job of trying to hold things together. Jess kept wandering off the screen unannounced and seemed to have trouble supporting her head throughout the show. Her mother who was watching the show from the sidelines even made an unscheduled appearance – maybe trying to save her daughter from further embarrassment.

However, this was only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her issues with alcohol and substance abuse. According to a reliable source that spoke to Radar Online, Jessica’s ex-husband now wants to take their children Ace, 2, and Maxwell, 3, away from her until she seeks help for her problems with alcohol abuse.

Earlier this May, Eric had told Jess that he had enough and given her the ultimatum to resolve her problem. He was worried that Jess’s conduct would have a negative impact on their children with the oldest child already starting to realize that something is wrong with mommy.

Another source had told In Touch that the singer was taking anti anxiety pills and Adderall. In addition to that, she also has a serious drinking problem. Her appearance on HSC was a wakeup call about her deteriorating conditions.

Jessica had denied in the past that she had any substance abuse problem. Since she supports everyone in the family, no one forced her to go into a rehab to seek help with her abuse problems. The source continued that now the family is looking for an in-patient facility for treatment of the singer/actor.

Jessica has remained silent on the matter since her appearance on HSN. Bill Brand, HSN president, has denied that Simpson was drunk when she was on air. Brand said she was just excited to be on the show and that the team loved working with her.

However, what viewers saw was in complete contrast to Brand’s statement. Jess seemed ‘giggly’ on the show. Her words were slurry and she even wobbled on her feet while promoting her fashion collection during the 10th anniversary of the launch of her brand.

While introducing her “Kiss Me” skinny jeans, the singer rambled about her brother-in-law Evan Ross and sister Ashlee had both tried the new jean line, and that there was something ‘hot’ about them.

Despite the odd appearance on the show, Jessica was able to sell all her lineup of Jeans without any issues. Whether her sales pitch was planned or not, it seemed to work well on the audiences.
