Blindspot’s Jamie Alexander Reveals Her Daily Food Diary

Jamie Alexander, who stars in NBC’s drama Blindspot, recently shared her daily food diary that allows her to perform her physically and mentally demanding role. The drama actor knows that she has to be on top of her game at all times, and it shows in her performance.

The 31 year old actress said that she usually has long days and does not have any time to dine. So, it is important for her to have healthy snacks. She says that she needs something that she can eat between her scenes to boost her energy, make her feel full, and keep the metabolism functioning well.

Fortunately, a close friend  helps her in maintaining a healthy diet plan to maintain her stamina by eating the right food. Ky Furneaux, her stunt double, has been her friend for more than a decade and both reside in the same residence when filming the TV show in New York.

Alexander says that she saw Ky following a strict diet to stay fit and mentally alert through her acts. She gained inspiration from her and asked her about the diet and its benefits. The answer was simple – she needed to eat the right food with balanced nutrients. While she sticks to her diet, she doesn’t deny herself an occasional treat like cookies and chocolates. Healthy eating is part of her lifestyle and not a chore that she dreads. This is her secret to look and stay healthy and fit.

Breakfast

1 x cup coffee with almond milk

2 cups of Califia Farms almond milk and 1 scoop of Sunwarrior vegan protein

Lunch

2 scrambled eggs with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and pesto

Corn tortilla with a Vegenaise

Dinner

1 x  piece of salmon

1/2 cup x steamed green beans

1 x cup broccoli (steamed)

1/2 x cup steamed carrots

1 tsp of Earth Balance spread on the veggies with a dash of pink salt

Hydration

3 liters of water

Snacks throughout the day

Organic Avenue juice with cucumber, celery, and kale

Half a cup of raw almonds

1 x chocolate chip cookie

2 x cups of salad with pink salt, olive oil, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese

1 x  piece of fruit

1 x cup of vegetables and hummus dip

Dietitian Keri Glassman of NutritiousLife says that she is a big fan of snacking. When done right, it will greatly help in keeping you fit and healthy. She says that Alexander eats all the perfect types of nutrient-dense food items that make you feel full. The nutritionist says that a little modification to the portion such as taking fewer portions can provide more benefits.
