The World of the Innovative and Brilliant Steve Jobs

Steve JobsPeople who knew Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, described him as ruthless, a cold rationalist, and a betrayer who mistreated his family and alienated his friends. He had a quality about him that made the ones who loathed him also respect him. In the movie about him, Steve Jobs’ journey comes to life on the big screen.

Steve Jobs, was born in San Francisco, California in 1955, but his birth mother gave him up, as she was too young to raise him. Paul and Clara Reinhold Jobs adopted Steve when he was an infant. He grew up to be an intelligent entrepreneur who co-founded Apple Inc. Later, he went on to become Pixar Animation Studios largest shareholder and become a member on the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company.

In his lifetime, Steve Jobs achieved a lot of and lost a lot, but always had a way of bouncing back when life pushed him down. This is exactly what director Danny Boyle hopes to convey through the film to audiences. Fans of Apple and admirers of Steve Jobs may prefer this movie to the previous movie made about his life.

Director Danny Boyle, using the script written by Aaron Sorkin, introduces audiences to a young and ambitious Jobs motivated to change the world. The film, aptly titled “Steve Jobs,” is a recollection of Steve Jobs rise as an Apple co-founder, to his fall when he gets dismissed, and his come back when he joins Apple again.

Steve JobsAfter Steve Jobs passed away from cancer, several documentaries and biographies have come out. One starred Ashton Kutcher in the lead role and the other was a documentary directed by Alex Gibney. The source for Sorkin’s screenplay is a book authored by Walter Isaacson and authorized by Jobs. The cast of the film includes Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, Jeff Daniels as John Sculley, and Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak.

Keep in mind when watching the film that although the movie depicts the account of Jobs’ life exactly as it’s in the book, Sorkin, to make the movie more compelling to viewers, has taken the typical liberties with the dialogues, characters, and facts. However, some family members and Apple executives do not agree with the book’s narration of the former CEO’s temperament, talent, and idiosyncrasies.

Viewers should perceive the movie as a cinematic biography and not a documentary. Focus on the acting and the brilliantly told story of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs, the man who went from showing the first Macintosh computer, to being ousted from his own company the company he helped co-found, and to being brought back to help Apple rise to the top. The movie has already launched in select theaters, but will be launched worldwide on October 23.
