Game of Thrones Season 6 Teaser Art Reveals Jon Snow’s Fate

As Season 5 of Game of Thrones ended, a lot of hearts ached—and broke—with that cliffhanger of an ending, and many viewers were left to speculate. Will the beloved Jon Snow ever return? The question kept lingering. As Jon Snow was shown lying on the grounds of Castle Black after being stabbed by his own men, everyone wondered, was he was actually dead?

A lot of rumors and clarifications have been made since then, but the recent shocker is the first teaser art for the upcoming Season 6 of the world-renowned show, recently released by HBO. The teaser has a bloody face that surely looks like the fan favorite Jon Snow.

The new teaser for Game of Thrones season 6 has been launched by HBO and it reveals Jon Snow's fate

Jon Snow is definitely coming back

The teaser fuels the speculation of his comeback. What is more intriguing is that the teaser comes after actor Kit Harington was spotted on sets of the show in Saintfield, Northern Ireland back in September. As he was all decked out in his costume, sword, and other accoutrement, a lot of questions were asked.

HBO president Michael Lombardo told journalists in July that Snow is “dead is dead is dead. He be dead.” But the latest teaser seems to say otherwise. The actor himself joined the propaganda and said that he was very much dead and there are no chances of him making a comeback. “It’s over for Jon Snow—at the very least, he gets to join his family and kin and leave this terrible world behind,” said Kit Harington.

The fate of Jon Snow in that scene written by George R.R. Martin in the book A Dance with the Dragons is highly ambiguous. Also, knowing how the show works, we can expect that Harington was right, and he actually is, in fact, dead. He might be returning as an animated corpse that is moving around like a white walker but is technically dead. It might be possible that his character is a ghost that comes from beyond the grave. Well, we don’t know exactly what is going to happen, and we will have to wait until April for that.

New cast member Ian McShane dropped major hints two weeks ago. He said that his mysterious character may be the key to all those conspiracy theories circulating around the Internet about Jon Snow’s fate. “I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that,” McShane was quoted saying.

Not a long wait for Game of Thrones: Season 6

The good news that came after the teaser is that fans won’t have to wait much longer. Earlier, there were reports that the show would be airing later than usual, as HBO planned to change the schedule due to newer shows preceding Game of Thrones. But it seems like the issue has been resolved, and “Winter is Coming” in April. Viewers will not have to wait for more than a week or two to watch the mysteries unfold.

The teaser has already generated a lot of hustle and bustle and curiosity. Jon Snow’s fate, alive or not, is one of a few questions that will be answered in April. Till then, the only choice audiences have is to keep guessing.
