Hollywood pays tribute to Frank Sinatra on his 100th birthday

If wine ever had a voice, it would have surely sounded like Frank Sinatra. If the legend had been alive, he would have turned 100 this year. As with all the musical legends, Frank Sinatra stays with us as we celebrate his 100th. The singer had one of his best years in 1965. His appeal was best described by Walter Cronkite when he said, “He has an appealing enthusiasm for the life he has lived. And when he sings, he makes it sound as though it all happened to him.”

Frank Sinatra –A Man of Rhythm and Emotions

His daughter, Nancy Sinatra fondly remembered her dad. She lives just a stone away from her dad’s house on a street that now bears his name. She told some unknown facts about Frank Sinatra. Nancy cherished all the memories she had and told that Palm Springs was her dad’s favorite place in the world. For him, Palm Springs was his home. She admired her dad a lot. “I never knew anyone, and I still don’t know anyone else, who felt things as deeply and took things to heart the way he did”, told Nancy. Frank Sinatra felt every emotion to its core and he was no stranger to pain. He was the only child and saw his fair share of struggle. Nancy told the media that her dad was more like a big baby. “They had to deliver him with forceps, which are, like, salad tongs, and cut his eardrum”, told Nancy.

Frank Sinatra had some old scars and that is the reason he always wanted to be clicked from the right side and not the left. But legends are never stopped by anything, neither their scars nor themselves. A career that stood relevant for 63 years and a name that became eternal is a testimony to it. He literally ruled the radio, the movies and the concerts he played at. Seeing him live was nothing short of divinity. His daughter agrees in unison. She says that he experience was extremely different from hearing a recorded song. The feeling was special. As soon as Frank Sinatra arrived at the stage, there was this evident electricity in the room. You could feel the aura and the impact his on-stage presence had. “The minute he walked out on the stage, there were audible gasps”, told Nancy.

A Determined Artist Who Wrote His Own Fate

Nancy was asked whether his father was always determined to be this successful or was he amazed by it? Did he always know that this would happen? “He was determined. He told my mom he wanted to be like Bing Crosby. He wanted to be better than Bing. And it turned out that he ended up better than Bing, according to the fans.” She was joined by her sister Tina Sinatra. Both of them claim to be Frank’s biggest fans. Tina Sinatra even helped to turn a hall at the University of Southern California into an exhibit that now features all things Frank, including the famous unforgettable ‘Hat’. “He wore this definitely in the ’50s and into the ’60s. When you see a hat like this, you instantly think of him”, said Tina.

Frank appealed both men and women. Men wanted to be him and women wanted to be with him. The man stays through his music and will forever do or maybe till doomsday.
