Rock music fans have a reason to rejoice, as we have some very good news, especially for all those who have been missing the legendary rock group The Beatles. You are going to have a merry Christmas in all true senses. The Beatles are going to make their streaming debut next week. A new report that recently was recently published says that all the people who have subscribed to Apple Music will now be able to access the iconic catalogue of the greatest rock band of all time. The streaming will begin around Christmas Eve.
Most of the songs by The Beatles will be streamed
According to the sources that spoke to media houses, The Beatles discography will arrive and start streaming on December 24. The discography will include most, if not all, of the songs composed by the legendary group. All the people who miss John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, you’ve had your Christmas wish fulfilled. Apple Music has been seeing multifold growth ever since it debuted earlier this summer. The streaming service happens to be the largest subscription service available. The decision to begin streaming from here seems to be the right one.
There is another fact that supports the fact that Apple Music will be among the first ones to carry The Beatles. The band’s digital catalog debuted exclusively on iTunes back in 2010. The agreement was hailed by all and was considered a landmark agreement. This major agreement came after years of legal wrath and fighting over a trademark dispute between Apple and The Beatles’ parent company, Apple Corps. The dispute was ultimately settled in the year 2007.
A much awaited change is processed
The Beatles are the biggest artists who are missing from the Apple Music Catalogue. There are other high-profile holdouts that are still there, including Prince and Garth Brooks, but the absence of The Beatles was much highlighted. There are other bands like AC/DC and Radiohead who oppose digital music but are now on board.
Apple Music has grown tremendously and is moving towards becoming the largest subscription streaming service. The current ruler in subscription streaming service is Spotify. The plan is to partner with it and make it the likely candidate to be among The Beatles’ launch partner. This might just double up the Christmas Eve bonanza.
Well, the buzz around The Beatles can be highly anticipated, as there rarely has been a band that was so universally loved worldwide. With those beautiful renditions, we might witness a world John Lennon imagined. Earlier this month, Apple’s iTunes Store landed a video exclusive with The Beatles with the famous “1+” collection. The collection had 50 completely restored and re-mastered presentations from the fab four. The collection was a delight for every Beatle fan out there. The collection features videos the entire group’s No. 1 U.K. and U.S. singles. It also had 23 more alternate versions that were previously unheard and some rarely seen clips of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison. Well, with this news, some people might think that Lennon was almost right. Beatles are equally, if not more, popular than Jesus.
