She is the youngest player to win an LPGA title, youngest to win a major championship, youngest to win the Rolex Player of the Year Award and youngest to rise to Rolex world No. 1. The LPGA’s prize money stands at $63.1 million, which is up from $40.5 million five years ago. Ko earned $525,000 in prize money for her first-place victory, which was 15% of the $3.5 million purse (the second largest behind the U.S. Women’s Open).
