As The Beatles begin with streaming services, ‘Come Together’ tops the lists

Years come and centuries pass by, everything might change but one thing is surely going to remain and that is the magic of The Beatles. The legends have left us long back but their glorious legacy still celebrated. So all the ‘Beatleheads’ and crazy fans rejoiced when they got to know that the legendary foursome’s music is going available to streaming services on Christmas Eve.  The news got a highly hailed positive response and was a Christmas gift to the fans all over. So after two days of streaming, Spotify has released some preliminary numbers focusing on the Fab Four’s most played tracks on the service. The list is based on the United Kingdom listening and the United States listening and there are separate two lists therefore. The good part is that most of the songs on the lists are common.

"Come Together," "Let It Be" and "Hey Jude" lead the Beatles' list of most streamed songs

The Beatles make a grand comeback

The epic song ‘Come Together’ tops both the charts and can be officially stated as the world’s favorite Beatles song right now. The song is followed by ‘Let It Be’ and ‘Hey Jude’ on both the charts. The Abbey Road opening track topped both the U.S. and the U.K. charts. The track also made it to the top of global chart list. One look at the list compiled from both the nations and one can see that there is not much difference.

Both the nations prefer the same ‘Fab Four’ classics.  After ‘Come Together’, ‘Hey Jude’ follows at 2nd spot on both the lists. The coincidence is not only wonderful but amazing too. Both the audiences gravitate towards the same legendary songs. Both of the lists have the same Top 10 Beatles songs in common, ‘Blackbird’, ‘In My Life’, ‘I Feel Fine’ and ‘Love Me Do’ being the exception.

The global list though is not the same. ‘Come Together’ though leads the global list but the second lead is ‘Let It Be’.  The track ‘All You Need Is Love’ does not feature on UK and US lists but is at the eighth position on the global list. The track ‘Love Me Do’ is nowhere in the American charts but is at the fourth position on the global list. Apart from the individual song statistics, Spotify also released some blanket statistics that tell hoe the Beatles’ streaming has impacted the services. The songs by the legendary band were added to over 673,000 playlists by the users. An analysis of listeners’ age told that 65 percent of people who were streaming The Beatles music were under the age of 34.
