Hillary Clinton lashes out at Donald Trump

Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, chose not to mince her words at a New Jersey rally and lashed out at Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, calling the business tycoon as a fraud who will scam American the way he has scammed people at Trump U”.

Clinton was referring to a defunct business training program owned by Trump which is facing a class action lawsuit.

Clinton took full advantage of a whole stash of documents that were made public by a judge who described how Trump targeted students with financial weakness and lured them into enrolling his high-priced real estate courses.

“Trump and his employees took advantage of vulnerable Americans, encouraging them to max out their credit cards, empty their retirement savings, destroy their financial futures – all while making promises they knew were false from the beginning,” Clinton said during a rally at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.

A series of recent polls conducted countrywide suggest that the two are neck and neck in a prospective general election contest but Clinton’s campaign maintains that it is so only because the former secretary of state is still running a primary race. Clinton is confident that she will be clinching the Democratic nomination of June 7 ahead of Bernie Sanders and believes her lead to be unassailable.

During her remarks at New Jersey, Clinton was also critical of Trump’s opinions on foreign policy and national security issues. Trump had controversially supported pulling NATO out of international waters, has been supportive of torturing and banning Muslims from entering the United States and Hillary says that such opinions disqualify him from a chance to sit at the Oval Office.

“This election will determine what direction this country heads in and there could not be a more stark and important difference because every day we learn more and more about Donald Trump,” Clinton said.

Clinton has been intensely focused on Trump as the former First Lady continues to fend off Senator Bernie Sanders who has made things interesting in California.

At the Newark rally, Clinton chose not to mention her Democratic challenger and instead continued her focus on Trump who she believes to be her general election opponent.

Clinton has received quite a response from New Jersey with Senator Cory Booker and legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi (also the state’s patron saint), introduced her.

Speaking of the former former secretary of state’s accomplishments, Bon Jovi joked that “all those titles get confusing and it gets a little awkward for me, so I just like to call her Mrs C”.

And Booker, a famously charismatic senator, also added a little to the light-hearted humor by saying: “I hate to contradict Bon Jovi but, dear God, Hillary Clinton – you give love a good name.”
